Warriors extend Brandin Podziemski on reported five-year deal

The reported $110 million extension would keep the guard in Golden State through the 2031-32 season, with a mutual option for its fifth year.

The Golden State Warriors signed guard Brandin Podziemski to a contract extension on October 10, 2026, the team announced, according to NBA.com. The deal was reported as a five-year, $110 million extension that would run through the 2031-32 season. Its fifth year would include a mutual option, allowing either side to revisit that season. Podziemski, 23 at the time of the report, appeared in all 82 games for Golden State in 2025-26. He was the only Warrior and one of 18 NBA players to play every game that season. Across 28.5 minutes per game, he averaged career highs of 13.8 points and 45.5% shooting from the field, along with 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals. Coach Steve Kerr said he was pleased for Podziemski and his family, and described the extension as a positive outcome for both the player and the team. Kerr also said the agreement would let the guard focus on basketball as the season began. General manager Mike Dunleavy said Podziemski had continued to improve since entering the league as a mid-first-round pick. He described the guard as durable and skilled, and said the team expected his progress to continue. The extension keeps the 6-foot-4 guard with the Warriors as the team looks to its future. NBA.com’s report noted that Golden State had also extended Stephen Curry in September and re-signed Draymond Green, Al Horford, Kristaps Porziņģis, De’Anthony Melton and Gary Payton II earlier in the offseason. The reported extension followed Podziemski’s most productive NBA season to date, with Golden State securing his services before the season began.
