Sanctions and warnings

How reports, staff decisions, tournament rules, federation rules, match penalties, and Power Ranking sanctions work.

What sanctions are for

Sanctions keep tournament results readable and fair. Some are informational warnings, some subtract standings points or race time, and some reduce Power Ranking during recalculation.

Warnings

A warning is an official notice. It may come from a report, a tournament manager action, a race result, or an automatic rule. It has no score effect unless a sanction effect is saved.

Power Ranking impact

A PR sanction never deletes the match. It applies a percentage during recalculation and keeps gross, penalty, and net values visible in the ranking breakdown.

Complete flow
Report

A user reports a problem to league, federation, tournament, or official page staff.

Staff review

Staff can answer, assign, close, create warnings, apply repeated sanctions up to 100%, or request a ban review.

Tournament rules

Managers can use automatic rules, Soccer/Basket match discipline, Racing race penalties, and manual PR sanctions.

Federation rules

Federations can impose locked PR rules on their tournaments and on tournaments from affiliated leagues.

When PR is reduced
American Football

Football sanctions can target a single game or season context. The system uses the played-game PR base, applies the configured percentage, and saves gross, penalty, and net values.

Soccer and Basket

Match discipline is cumulative. Each warning or sanction saved from the match form becomes an event; sanctions subtract standings points from the involved team when configured.

Racing

Racing penalties can be warning points, penalty points, or penalty time on a race entry. The public Sanctions tab shows the race context and the effect.

Reports and ban review

A single report sanction is capped at 40%. Multiple sanctions can cumulate up to 100%; at that level staff should evaluate a ban ticket.

Gazette context

Before tournament articles are generated, La Gazzetta receives the disciplinary events so articles can mention relevant sanctions without mixing them with Ranko TV.

The public tournament page shows active automatic rules in the Regulation tab and shows the Sanctions tab when warnings or sanctions exist. Gazette articles receive the same public disciplinary context.

Do sanctions change all my PR scores?

It depends on the context. Federal sanctions affect qualification in that federation without automatically becoming personal PR penalties. Sporting penalties can change competition results. A warning alone deducts no points. PR details distinguish the initial value, penalties and final value.
