iRacing 2026 Season 2 Patch 2 adds AI, BoP and UI changes

AI racing receives several fixes

The patch addresses an issue in which AI drivers could fail to post qualifying times if a player advanced an event too quickly. According to the release notes, AI drivers will now operate at simulated lightning speed and post qualifying times.

AI Solo race results are also estimated more accurately when a player quits between the green and checkered flags. Vehicle Weight Adjustment now supports values from -50 kilograms to +250 kilograms of the original vehicle weight. Negative values reduce vehicle mass, while positive values add mass. Official Series and Sessions support the range, and the setting can be selected in the Garage during a test Session. The release notes say Hosted Sessions will receive the ability to select this weight range shortly.

UI, graphics and car updates

The Throttle/Brake UI Widget now offers up to 30 seconds of graph playback and a Graph Horizontal Lines option for reading telemetry values. The update also fixes a crash-to-desktop issue involving setting a HUD Profile as the global default when its key was not yet present in the app.ini file.

Graphics fixes address rain not appearing in mirrors and incorrect Z-sorting for full-resolution “Low Res” particle smoke effects. Car-specific changes include improved windshield reflections for the NASCAR O’Reilly Series, increased roof durability for Street Stocks and Dirt Street Stock, and corrected power scaling for TCR cars at Nürburgring Nordschleife configurations.
