Chat and direct conversations
How to access Chat, how the page is structured, and what you can do in a direct conversation.
Ranko Universe Chat lets you communicate quickly with other Avatars: it is designed to coordinate matches, tournaments, and platform activities.
To use Chat you need a configured Avatar, because conversations always happen through your public identity.
How to access Chat
From the main dashboard
On the dashboard you can find a quick shortcut to open Chat and immediately view your recent conversations.
From the top navigation menu
In the topbar or side menu you can always find the "Chat" item. Selecting it opens the Chat page at any time, without going through the dashboard first.
From new message notifications
When you receive a new message, the notification icon in the topbar alerts you. Clicking the notification opens the matching conversation directly so you can reply immediately.
How the Chat page is organized
Left column: conversation list
On the left you will find the conversation list. You can search among Avatars, open direct chats, and quickly see who wrote to you most recently. Selecting a contact opens the message area on the right.
Main area: messages and reply
At the center of the page you see the messages exchanged with the selected Avatar. From there you can write new replies in a text-focused conversation. Files and images are not supported, which keeps the chat simple and lightweight.
History with Rankino
Help chats with Rankino written while authenticated are stored in the general Chat. To recover them, open Chat and look for Rankino in the conversation list.
