Tennessee Volunteers at No. 17 Alabama Crimson Tide | Game Highlights | 2026 SEC Men's Basketball

Watch the Game Highlights from Tennessee Volunteers at Alabama Crimson Tide, 01/24/2026 Tennessee freshman Nate Ament delivered a career-high 29 points, and Ja’Kobi Gillespie added 23 as the Volunteers earned a 79–73 win over No. 17 Alabama on Saturday night. Alabama set the tone early, jumping out to a 22–12 lead midway through the first half behind strong perimeter shooting and early transition offense. Tennessee responded with more defensive pressure and improved ball movement, outscoring the Crimson Tide 24–17 over the final stretch of the half to trim the deficit to 39–36 at halftime. The Volunteers continued that momentum after the break, opening the second half on an 11–4 run to take a 47–41 lead with 16:33 remaining. Ament was steady throughout, scoring from all three levels and finishing the night with 18 second-half points to go along with five rebounds and two assists. Gillespie complemented him by attacking the lane and converting at the free-throw line. Alabama remained within striking distance behind Labaron Philon, who finished with 26 points, and Latrell Wrightsell, who added 14. However, Tennessee’s defense tightened in the closing minutes. Philon missed a jumper with 2:11 left that would have cut the margin to one possession, and the Crimson Tide were held scoreless over the final 3:11. Tennessee closed the game at the line and limited Alabama to 34.5% shooting in the second half to seal the victory. The win marked Tennessee’s fifth straight over Alabama and moved the Volunteers to 13–6 overall and 3–3 in SEC play. 🚨 Subscribe → https://www.youtube.com/@SEC 🎥 Watch more SEC Men's Basketball Highlights → https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwtCoGcMK22oCcVxYNQKpNSJlxVR3laYE&si=5U2JKg4YAkt_GvnR 💻 More SEC Basketball Content → https://www.secsports.com 🌐 SEC Social https://www.instagram.com/sec http://twitter.com/sec https://www.tiktok.com/@sec http://facebook.com/secsports #SEC #SECMBB #Tennessee #Volunteers #Alabama #CrimsonTide #NateAment #JaKobiGillespie #LabaronPhilon #LatrellWrightsell #SoutheasternConference #CollegeBasketball #Highlights #SECNetwork #ESPN
