Madden NFL 27 Team Builder: Complete Guide

Team Builder requires an EA Account and an internet connection. EA recommends using a desktop browser; mobile devices are not officially supported for the builder, while sufficiently capable tablets may be able to access it. Team Builder teams can be used in Franchise on supported current-generation platforms.

Open Team Builder, sign in with your EA Account, start a new creation, and work through the customization areas. Save your work regularly, review the summary, and submit when the team is ready. EA currently documents an upload limit of 5 MB per team.

Set the team identity, logos, color palette, and fonts. Keep logos readable at small sizes and make sure the primary colors provide enough contrast across uniforms, field elements, and menus.

Create home and away uniforms and additional sets when supported. Customize helmet, jersey, pants, socks, colors, textures, and design elements while checking how the full combination reads on the player model.

Customize stadium architecture and presentation options, crowd and field elements, surface, branding, and field-number styling where available. Treat the stadium as part of the same visual identity as the team.

Team Builder includes roster customization. EA documents editing player appearance, physical attributes, and ratings. Review the complete depth chart before publishing so the team is usable immediately after download.

In Madden NFL 27, open the Creation Center/Download Center, go to Teams, find your creation, and download it. The exact localized menu labels may vary, so follow the current in-game wording on your platform.

Create an online Franchise and select downloaded Team Builder teams during league setup. EA currently documents replacement of up to 32 NFL teams. Team Builder teams cannot be imported into an offline Franchise.
