Franchise and the Persona Engine

The Persona Engine gives NFL athletes individual motivations and reactions that influence negotiations, demands, news, and league behavior. Franchise also expands contracts, free agency, weekly management, and CPU decision-making.

More physical and controllable gameplay

WR/DB Battles add more hand fighting, leverage, and contact on routes. Madden NFL 27 also expands short-yardage mechanics, timing-based catching, coverage tools, and streamlined pre-play control.

Dynamic Weather

Weather can change during the game instead of remaining static. Field degradation and changing conditions can affect how you approach play calling and game management.

Superstar and Ultimate Team

Superstar adds the G.O.A.T. Journey, expanded Skill Trees, and additional playable positions. Ultimate Team uses a revamped upgrade structure, including Evos and skill-point-based improvement systems.
