EA SPORTS FC’s Career Mode development team has published its first Developer Update for FC 27, identifying player feedback and data as the basis for its next decisions. The update highlights two new systems under observation—Stamina and Dynamic OVR—and lists several areas where work is already underway.

The approach is deliberately measured: the team says it wants players to spend more time with the new systems across longer Career saves before it makes significant changes. For players, that means the current balance is being monitored, but not yet presented as settled.

Monitoring before making major changes

According to the update, reactions to Stamina and Dynamic OVR are mixed. Some players welcome the added demands around squad building and rotation, while others have asked for adjustments. EA says it will continue to follow both feedback and its data as more Career saves develop.

That decision matters because these systems shape recurring choices in a long-running save: how to manage player energy, rotate a squad and respond to changing ratings. The team has not announced a timetable or specific balance changes for either system.

A wider set of Career Mode fixes

The update also confirms planned visual changes to the Team Management Screen, following player feedback. EA says it has identified an issue contributing to newly generated players entering Career Mode with higher Starting OVRs than expected and is working on a fix intended to create a more authentic balance over time.

Player expectations around minutes are another area under review. The team is examining how quickly players request transfers because of their playtime, aiming to balance demands for minutes against squad rotation and recovery. Separately, EA is working on balancing changes to increase offers for players listed for loan or transfer.

For Liga BBVA MX, EA acknowledges progression issues, including during the Clausura portion of the season. The team says it is working to bring the league experience closer to its authentic competition structure. The update does not provide release dates for these changes.

Feedback remains part of the process

EA says it will host a Career Mode-specific Q&A in the official EA SPORTS FC Discord on October 6 and invites players to submit questions there. The update also points players to the Player Feedback Portal as another place to share feedback.

For Career Mode players, the practical takeaway is a roadmap of concerns rather than a list of completed fixes. The team has named the areas it is addressing, but its next decisions on Stamina and Dynamic OVR depend on continued observation. That leaves player feedback and longer-term save data central to how the experience may develop.
