iRacing Season 3 Patch 3 adjusts divisions and car systems
The 2025.06.27.02 release includes official-racing changes, GT3 balance updates, GTP brake-migration fixes and track revisions.
iRacing has released 2025 Season 3 Patch 3, identified as version 2025.06.27.02. According to the release notes published through iRacing’s Steam News channel on July 1, 2025, the update contains changes and fixes for the 2025 Season 3 release.
The most significant competition-related change is a redistribution of members into license-class divisions. iRacing says the adjustment is intended to improve competition at all levels after the division distribution introduced with the start of Season 3 did not meet its target.
Official racing divisions are recalculated
The revised division separation uses iRating, ttRating and Rookie status. However, drivers are not being redistributed using their current values. The release notes state that the process is based on the values recorded a few weeks earlier, when divisions were first established during the Season 3 transition.
Previous Season 3 records, statistics and results will follow drivers into their new divisions. For ranked-racing participants, this means existing results remain associated with their owners while the division structure is updated. Tournament organizers and streamers covering official competition may therefore need to account for the new division assignments when presenting standings or comparing participation.
Flag history and visual fixes
The patch fixes an issue in which some race results displayed a customer’s previously selected flag instead of the flag selected when entering the event. Results now preserve the flag participants were flying at the time of event entry as historic data. iRacing notes that the problem was especially visible with the recently added flags for England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
A graphics fix addresses blocky patterns that could appear at dusk on some tracks transitioning from damp to wet conditions.
Car, setup and track changes
GT3 car-class balance of performance has been tuned for improved realism, and iRacing setups have been updated. For GTP cars, brake migration now applies at the stated value rather than half that value, with the ramping reference location also adjusted. iRacing recommends halving the current brake-migration setting in existing setups and moving brake bias forward by 1 to 1.25 percent.
Brake migration was added to the Acura ARX-06 GTP. The Ferrari 499P received clearer tooltips, but its brake migration was already working correctly and requires no setup adjustment. NASCAR Gen 4 setups were also updated. Other changes restore the Ford FG Falcon’s rear-view mirror, correct a Dallara IR18 UI image issue and tune GT3 setups.
Circuit updates
Iowa Speedway received slight surface-parameter changes. Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park gained a missing grandstand ceiling light. At Shell V-Power Motorsport Park at The Bend, pace-car speeds were updated to 90 KPH for the International and GT configurations and 80 KPH for all other configurations; some outside-pit-road ARMCO was also restored. Watkins Glen International now applies a larger gain-time penalty for cutting the Inner Loop.
