The Frogs Legnano girls finished fifth at the NFL Flag European U15 Girls Championship in London, recording two wins and two losses. The tournament brought together teams from seven European countries and ended with Great Britain winning.

The event was part of a wider week of flag football activity at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which also hosted a TMRW Sports talent identification camp attended by eight Italian players. FIDAF reported on the events on October 9, 2026.

Frogs represent Italy in the U15 championship

The NFL-organized championship was part of the league’s youth flag football development program. Frogs Legnano represented Italy, with the team strengthened by athletes from Pittbulls Brianza, Skorpions Varese and Blitz Cirié.

The young players were at the stadium on Sunday, October 4, to watch the NFL regular-season game between the Washington Commanders and Indianapolis Colts. Before kickoff, they stood by the tunnel as the teams entered the field. During the third quarter, one representative from each participating country took the field with a national flag; Italy’s representative was the Frogs quarterback.

The Frogs returned on Monday, October 5, to compete in the U15 tournament. FIDAF described the experience as an opportunity to take part in an international competition and encounter the organization and atmosphere of an NFL venue.

Eight Italians attend TMRW Sports ID Camp

The TMRW Sports ID Camp took place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 5 and 6, in collaboration with the NFL. FIDAF described it as the project’s first European talent identification event, linked to plans for a first professional flag football league for men and women.

The eight Italian invitees were Alice Fimiani, Margherita Germinetti, Chiara Peroni, Nausicaa Dell’Orto, Simone Alinovi, Andrea Fantin, Luke Zahradka and Jordan Bouah. FIDAF said the athletes had international experience.

Support for youth development

FIDAF credited the Cleveland Browns with supporting the Frogs’ trip. The NFL franchise works with the Italian federation on flag football development in Italy, with particular attention to youth programs and opportunities for girls and boys.
