Epic Spanish League Midfielders Headline Special Player List
KONAMI’s announcement describes three Epic players, eight Highlight players and 139 other active players set to appear.
KONAMI’s eFootball Steam News announcement, published on 5 October 2026, introduces a Special Player List under the headline “Epic: Spanish League Midfielders.”
The supplied announcement excerpt confirms three Epic players and eight Highlight players, plus 139 other currently active players who will make an appearance. It does not provide the individual player names or further details about the list.
Different roles for Epic and Highlight cards
KONAMI describes Epic players as reflecting a standout performance from a specific season in a player’s career. Their card designs are styled after photographs taken during the season on which each card is based.
Highlight players, meanwhile, have different stats from their Standard counterparts and can be further developed, according to the announcement. The two labels therefore point to distinct card features, though the excerpt does not specify individual attributes or development options.
What the announcement means for players
For players building an eFootball squad, the stated card distinctions offer a reason to compare the featured categories rather than treating every selection as identical. That is a practical implication of the features KONAMI describes, not a claim about the strength of any particular player.
The announcement may also give squad planners and content creators a concrete topic to follow: the mix of season-based Epic cards, developable Highlight cards and a larger group of active players. However, the excerpt does not state how or when the players can be obtained, or provide event, tournament or streaming details.

The confirmed outline is broad rather than player-specific: three Epic selections, eight Highlight selections and 139 additional active players are named as part of the Special Player List. Names and further release information are not included in the supplied announcement excerpt.
