Bristol Aztecs defeated Manchester Titans 49–10 in Britbowl 38 at Coventry’s Nick Newbold Stadium, claiming their second successive Mixed Adult Premiership title.

The British American Football Association (BAFA), in a report dated 10 September 2026, said the game concluded the 2026 contact American football season. The report did not give the exact date of the Britbowl game.

Bristol pull away in Britbowl

Aztecs quarterback Ethan Gretzinger connected with receiver Sam East for two early touchdowns, according to BAFA. Manchester responded when Josh Mills found Brad Temple, who ran in a 65-yard touchdown.

Bristol’s defence then scored on interceptions returned for touchdowns by Matheus Nudelman and Adam Woodward. Running back Josh Breece added a 65-yard rushing touchdown, while Shaun Vaughan and Gretzinger also scored. Breece was named Britbowl 38 MVP.

Other championship results

The weekend’s other results included Birmingham Lions’ 8–7 victory over London Warriors in the National Women’s Football League final. BAFA reported that Oli Davies scored a safety and a touchdown for Birmingham; Susan Fagbohun was named the game’s MVP.

In the U19 championship, London Blitz claimed their eleventh national title. BAFA said Flag Finals were due the following week, after the contact season concluded.

Contact football and flag finals

Britbowl 38 was a contact American football championship, not a flag football tournament. BAFA’s account placed it within a weekend of British American football finals and noted that flag finals were scheduled for the following week, without specifying their date.
